Latest Newsletter - 7 December

School Holiday Training
Senior Squad training will continue over the Christmas break for swimmers preparing for the Country Championships and other carnivals being held early in the new year.

These session times will vary due to coaches availability throughout these holidays. Swimmers are required to register their interest in attending these sessions with Phillipa and will then be notified of training dates and times as they are scheduled.

For swimmers who will be away over the Christmas break but wish to continue training, Phillipa can provide an individual program which can be swum with parent supervision over the holiday break.

Junior Squad training will recommence Thursday 28th January 2010.

Port Augusta & Quorn Carnival Nominations
Please note that these two carnivals close for nominations on the 15th December. Please ensure that if you are interested in attending these events you notify Phillipa as soon as possible to place your nominations.

Quorn is a fantastic carnival for our younger or junior swimmers as it is a 25m pool and a great learning environment for these swimmers. Anyone considering attending any more carnivals this year should seriously consider entering this event. Remember we are a competitive swim club and these carnivals are what we are all about.

Nominations Officer
The committee is currently looking for a Nominations and Records officer. Anyone interested in this role is urged to get contact the committee or talk to Phillipa about what this involves.

Without a Nominations & Records Officer our swimmers can not compete, time trials can not be held and no awards can be given at the end of the year! This is a critical role within our club.

Account Payment Option
Please note that fees can now be paid online from our website using Paymate. Anyone with outstanding accounts can now pay by credit card online. Please email if you have any problems setting this up.

2009/2010 Carnivals
If you are interested in travelling to carnivals this year please find below a summary of events supported by the club.

All families planning on competing will require a Swimming SA Handbook available from Christine (

Don't forget: closing dates for these events are typically three or four weeks before the carnival, so if you want to nominate for a carnival, speak to your coach ASAP.
