Presentation Night & Disco

This season’s presentation night will be followed by a disco. This will be held Friday 3rd April at the Roxby Downs Community Club from 6.30pm. The club is providing finger food and soft drinks. Swimmers are asked to dress in their best disco gear – there is no charge for this event.

The night will commence with medal presentations and conclude with a disco.

Please RSVP to or text 0409002576 with numbers attending. All swimmers receive a medal and there are many awards up for grabs on the night.

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.

School Based Competitions – Wrap up the Season

Good luck to all our swimmers competing at the following three school based events this week. These events conclude the summer swimming season

  • RDAS - Primary Swimming Carnival – Thursday 26th March
  • RDAS – Senior Swimming Carnival – Friday 27th March
  • SAPSSASA – Swimming Carnival – Friday 27th March
  • Junior Sprints Area Finals – Saturday 28th March

Please note the Junior Sprints State Finals is a school based event and all swimmers must wear their school uniforms. If you require any further information on this event, please contact Wendy Lowe.

Good luck to the swimmers participating at this event – it is a great experience to swim against swimmers from all over the state.

AGM and Special General Meeting

Please note - this years Annual General Meeting followed by a Special General meeting will be held on Sunday 5th April at the Roxby Downs Bowling Club at 2.00pm. The following positions are open for nomination – keep an eye out in your letterbox for your invitation and AGM nomination form.

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary General
  • Committee Member (Six positions)

The Special General Meeting will be used to set the direction for the 2009/2010 season. Issues to discuss include;

  • Club finances in current economic climate
  • Volunteers and sharing of work loads
  • Future of learn to swim programs
  • Club number for 2009/2010 season
  • Season preparations

Please note that if swimming places are limited next season, preference will be given to those families that attend the AGM and Special General Meeting. If you have any questions or would like to nominate for any of the available positions, please do not hesitate to contact a committee member.

Monthly Newsletter

Please note that our weekly column will cease this week and be replaced by a monthly column during the off season. We will also maintain the club website during this time. If you require any information please do not hesitate to email any of the club email addresses below.

Membership Renewals

Please note that all memberships expire on 30th April 2009. To participate in winter carnivals swimmers must register for the 2009/2010 season online.
